In October 2016, Jawa motorcycle has been raised by Mahindra and Mahnidra as subsidiary Classic Legends Private Limited (CLPL). The Jawa launched two models Jawa and Jawa Forty Two. The third one, Jawa Perak – bobber look, is expected to be launched in February 2019.
Lets talk more about Jawa. Jawa has not named it with any model name, has kept it simple Jawa to retain it’s legacy. Some people also call it Jawa Classic or Jawa 300 or Jawa Classic 300.

Lets talk about the power pack of the machine, which has a 293 cc single cylinder, 4 stroke and Double Over Head Cam (DOHC). Thee liquid cooled engine delivers a maximum power of 27 bhp and maximum torque of 28 Nm. Injected fuel and self start system will make your riding perfect.
Reviewers claim it has top speed of 135 kmph. However, not mention on it’s web portfolio. It packed with 6 speed constant mesh transmission system.

With 14 liters of fuel storage tank, it’s total kerb weight is 170 kg, 10 kg lighter than the RE Classic 350.

Without talking about pricing, you can’t switch it off. Jawa Classic 300 STD version starts at ₹1,64,000 in Delhi showrooms. It can go up to ₹1,73,000 with additional features or location change.
Jawa will compete with
Obviously, it is going to give a tough job for Royal Enfield and others as well, which has ruled on Indian market for a long time. In the last week of December 2018, Jawa closed it’s booking for both of it’s variant Jawa Classic and Jawa Forty Two.
Interestingly, the booking is done for the September 2019. You can imagine the demand of this legendary motorcycle.
Dealerships expansion is on full swing. Almost more than 70 cities across the India has received number of dealerships. Some of them opened just besides or in front of the Royal Enfield showrooms.
