Yamaha motors is overhauling it’s portfolio with addition of FZ V3 ABS. Although majority of it’s bike are above 125 cc. According to new government norms all the two wheeler above 125 cc to equipped with ABS or CBS before March 2020.
Following the same, Yamaha has introduced FZ V3 with single channel ABS. It is the same ABS, which is used in other FZ series and the third generation FZS.
New 2019 FZ V3.0 updated with new muscular design and fuel tank is inspired by the FZ-25. The seat is single piece instead of split seat unit and taller set handlebar to changes it’s look.
The dual-pod headlamp is new addition, while the LCD instrument console is carried from the FZ-25.
However, the new design of the FZ is inspired by the MT-series products from the side profile. Buyers have option to choose single-tone or dual-tone color option.
With the addition with single channel ABS, 2019 new FZ V3 to cost around INR. 95,000 in Delhi showrooms. However, buyers have option to choose Non-ABS at the cost of INR. 82,000 in Delhi showrooms.
FZ V3 comes with 149 cc volume displacement, 4-stroke and single cylinder engine. The power engine delivers 13 bhp of peak power at 8,000 rpm, while 12.8 Nm maximum torque at 6,000 rpm. The 5-speed constant mesh gearbox delivers a top speed of 136 kmph.
Yamaha FZ series competes with Suzuki Gixxer, Pulsar NS160, Honda CB Hornet 160R and with some the same range bikes.
