Avan Motors to launch One eScooter in Per 6 Months, Total 6 in 3 Years

Avan Motors showcased it’s 6 new electric scooter (eScooter) including Xero and Xero+. Both scooters have top speed of 25 kmph and 45 kmph respectively. Also a range of 60-70 km per charge.

Pune based electric scooters manufacturing company has announced to launch one new scooter in every six months. Total six numbers of models are in pipeline. All six will be launched with 3 years of plan.

Avan Electric Scooters has price range of ₹45,000 to ₹80,000, which lowest in the segment. It has a target to sell 25,000 units in 2019 and one lakh units in three years.

With two models on it’s portfolio, Avan Motors is very optimistic about future sells target.

Avan Motors Available Electric Scooters

Currently, Avan Motors electric scooters are available in Maharashtra, Karnataka and Bangalore only. However, company has plan to add more dealerships across the India.

Recently, in 2018 electric vehicle auto expo in Delhi, Avan showcased it’s models Xero and Xero+. This electric startup claims, all the rest models will have top speed of 45+ kmph.

With 4 to 6 hours of charging of Lithium-Ion battery, Xero runs 60-70 km, while Xero plus runs over 110 km. However, Xero+ has double battery option.

Interestingly, No license required for the vehicle less than 250W models and speed below 25 km/hr as well as any license and registration.

It’s Xero model meets the criteria, it will be interesting to see user’s response.

Both of the electric scooters have disc and drums brakes, safety parking brake, sturdy body guard features.

Both the electric machine come with three color options, Red, Blue and White. Colors seem little shiny and look is fancy. And little touches the TVS XL design, but all that look only. It’s completely different platform.

“Avan Motors has in-house R&D facility at Hinjewadi, Pune plant. Also it has collaboration with global technology providers from the UK and Europe to focus on futuristic and innovative providers”, Company COO Hridesh Thakur told to PTI.

He also added that, company has crossed 1,000 units sales per month with two models Xero and Xero+. Avan claims, the running cost of it’s bike is only 10% of comparing to gasoline scooter.

With spread over 22,000 sq ft Hinjewadi plant of Pune, it has capacity of 36,000 units production per year in single shift.

Avan Motors is new startup, headquartered in Pune (Maharashtra), India. It was founded in in 2015. 3 years of rigorous R&D, Avan launched Xero and Xero+ in July 2018 and many in pipeline as said.
