Bajaj Auto has released a new advertisement brand campaign titled as ‘The World’s Favorite Indian‘ as we informed earlier on 21st January 2019. During the launch, New updated Dominar 400 ABS was seen in the video at the press conference. Riding shots are confirming the new updates in the Dominar 400 ABS.
Updates in Dominar 400 ABS
The new 2019 Dominar will be equipped with USD fork. The fork is similar dimension to KTM using. Some sources believed, it may be the same unit like KTM’s.
Some other changes are also made in Dominar 400. The exhaust system gets makeover. The exhaust to be twin-exit now can produce a much throatier sound.
It is reworked and the tank panel also redesigned or the new model. The cowls on the tank looks little smaller than the current model.
Some other changes are, the rims colors. It has ditched the golden-colored rims rims. Bajaj has brought the black finished rims with polished outer edges.
It is also believed that, Dominar 400 to get a secondary digital unit that displays gear position, the odometer and time.
Subsequently, also Bajaj may replace the current engine with DOHC engine that was seen in KTM 390 Duke. The change can enable Dominar to comply with upcoming emission norms.
The price of the updated Dominar 400 ABS can go up. Current version is priced at ₹1.63 lakh in Delhi showrooms.
Current version of Dominar 400 Twin Channel ABS comes with a 373.3 cc single cylinder, 4 stroke engine. The self start engine has liquid cooled and fuel injection.
The power engine delivers 35 PS peak power at 8000 rpm, while 35 Nm of maximum torque at 650 rpm. The top speed of Dominar is 194 kmph.
Dominar 400 ABS competes with Royal Enfield Classic 350, Honda CBR250R and Mahindra Mojo UT 300.
