Yamaha Launches R15 V3 ABS Version in India

  • Yamaha Motorcycles has updates it’s YZF R15 V3.0 with dual-channel ABS.
  • Other models also teased with ABS.
  • ABS version R15 V3 to cost more than non-ABS.

Following the mandatory ABS or CBS for 2 wheeler over 125 cc, Yamaha motorcycles has updated YZF R15 V3.0 with ABS. The update is announced officially by Yamaha Motors in India and the updated version is also available on Yamaha’s website.

R15 V3.0 has received dual-channel ABS. Not only R15 V3, Bikes like FX25 and Fazer 25 have also received the same safety upgrades.

By march 31 2020, no vehicles above 125 cc will be able to sell without ABS or CBS, so Yamaha would like to not race behind.

Sporty and performance bike is quite popular among young generation and with addition of dual-channel ABS, the love is to increase more.

Yamaha YZF R15 V3.0 Dual Channel ABS Price

The dual channel is up to global standard. However, the dual-channel ABS version Yamaha YZF R15 V3.0 is to cost ₹1.39 lakh in Delhi showrooms. Which is ₹12,000 expensive than non-ABS version.

Interestingly, Dark night edition of R15 V3.0 ABS costs ₹1.41 Lakh in Delhi showrooms.

The Japanese 2 wheeler giant, recently highlighted some other brands, in which most of them was launched with dual-channel ABS. Yamaha models like FZ Fi V3.0 and FZ S FI V3.0 are already receiving dual channel ABS.

Now ABS has become standard key safety feature, which is much required for modern running machines on the roads.

However, Yamaha has not introduced any other mechanical changes in this vehicle.

If we talk little more about the YZF R15 V3.0, the performance running machine comes with 155 cc single cylinder 4 stroke. Liquid cooled engine have self start engine produces 19.3 PS of maximum power at 10,000 rpm, while 14.7 Nm of maximum torque at 8,500 rpm. It has 6 speed gearbox transmission.

YZF R15 V3.0 comes with dual disc brakes along tubeless Tyre and LED head and tail lamps.

Yamaha YZF R15 V3.0 competes with Bajaj Pulsar NS160, Suzuki Gixxer and Apache RTR 160. Recently, most of them updated with ABS. Bajaj’s Pulsar has largest marketing share in this segment.
